This year most certainly started with a bang and has progressed with fury ever since, in Chinese astrology this year is a fire horse year, in colour numerology the year is also a red year, a number one year. Very apt and very aligned.

It has taken me a while to get to this point to share on the blog with you, the energy has been so unpredictable thus far and I am afraid to say will continue to be so throughout the year ahead. Therefore carefully navigating ourselves through is the wisest action.

There are many guides and opinions online as to the best action to take, I prefer the least resistance and the most wise, taking into account our own personal lives.

A red year is always unpredictable, with many ups and downs as we journey through. What we must be aware of as we travel along is not to be swept up into the energy of the red year energy by making rash decisions ourselves, to remind ourselves of moderation and to be more thoughtful and considered of any changes that we may be thinking of. To think through very carefully of the long term effects of decisions contemplated.. As under red energy we can make choices that we regret further down the line.

This is the year when we need to listen, listen to our innate wisdom rather than knee jerk and regret our actions. In a red year it is oh so easy to knee jerk, whether out of fear, frustration or just damn obstinance, There will be quieter times during the year in between the red rag to a bull energy times,, our job is to ensure we have carefully considered what actions we can take to help ourselves.

Firstly and with much unsettlement out there, it feels a little bleak at the moment, try to soften the noise within by going quietly within more often throughout the day, it only takes a few minutes each time yet the rewards are bountiful, workers can escape to the loo if they find it distracting sitting at their desks, remember the simplest of exercises can sometimes be the best, close your eyes, breathe conciously in by taking slow breaths in, counting to ten, hold as long as comfortable then release, exhaling slightly longer than you inhale letting your shoulders and body relax. Do this for a few minutes.

Then go to the window and notice a colour, a flower, a tree, Mother Earth, nature helps us to reset, and quietly breathe in the colour imagining the colour washing through your body as you breathe in.

Secondly, stay aware out and about, remembering others are not privvy to information that may help them navigate through, many are stressed and in some cases over whelmed, therefore their minds and actions will be in high stress mode, accidents can happen, but wont if your awareness is on alert.

Thirdly, we have no idea what will be happening over the next month or so or the impact on food and water supplies, take sensible action by buying staples and extra that will either freeze or store.

Fourthly, stay calm and carry on is quite the sensible method, the end of March and April plus a few other months throughout the year can be unsettling, dont get caught up in the insecurity of it as it happens, remember this too shall pass, step aside, go within. We will all be here to celebrate Christmas 2026.

Fifth, Stay informed but limit it, then step away.

Nature resets, get out into nature this summer and enjoy your connection to the outside world.

It is still a very beautiful world. Mother Earth is our heart, and our hearts are connected firmly to Mother Earth, kick off your shoes and walk barefoot on the grass and sand, lie down and close your eyes and wallow in the warmth of the sun on your body, the rhythm of the earth underneath you, grounding you, re-energising you and just be.
