Sitting quietly enjoying the bird song made me think about the healing qualities of their glorious sounds, dependant on the specific bird, their sweet song can lower blood pressure, regulate heart beat and raise our mood. Operating in a specific range these glorious little earth bound angels come to help heal mankind with their melodies, by helping to reduce stress and by positively improving mental health.

These are only some of the health benefits research has confirmed bird song gifts to us. and I believe in time we will discover more.

With life in the fast lane today coupled with such unrest globally, our beautiful birds play an important role in all our lives for the good of our health and wellbeing.

The wonders of the bird kingdom surround us all and if only we take the time to stop a while in these unsettled times to listen to their sweet chorus the benefits will be many, research confirms just 10 minutes sitting listening to bird song has many health benefits, and Im sure with more to be discovered.

As the days get warmer take advantage of sitting outside and listening. When you hear bird song, why not stop a while, wherever you maybe and enjoy, after all what is ten minutes out of a day after all.

Birds are known as spiritual messengers in many ancient writings, and prominent in many cultures for representing the link between heaven and earth.

Ancient Greeks and Egyptians saw the soul as a bird, Shamans for many thousands of years have placed much emphasis on the power of the bird, Native American Indians see birds as our teachers, our guides and helpers, seeing them as messengers from the spirit world, bringing wisdom in answer to questions.

Many legends have birds in the leading role, with their feathers being an intrinsic part of many rituals. Birds are discreet messengers, there are many incidences of bird encounters, warning mankind of imminent danger, bringing messages from loved ones, and in some cases awakening mankind to the spirit world.

Next time you are close to a bird, look into his eyes while sending a loving thought and feel the connection, you may be surprised by some encounters.
